Our Technical Support Policy will change on September 15, 2009.
We provided free support & updates for almost 8 years, but we've had to acknowledge that this is not the most efficient way to run our business: too many resources are being spent on technical support instead of software development.
So, what changes? After September 15, 2009:
- Customers must purchase a $195/year ProductCart Technical Support & Updates Plan in order to obtain technical support and software updates.
- Each License (store) for which a Plan has been purchased will be allowed to submit up to 24 support tickets a year.
- Each License for which a plan has been purchased will be eligible for free software updates and upgrades.
- New ProductCart installations will be eligible for free technical support and updates for 30 days from the day the store is activated. After 30 days, a support ticket can only be submitted if a plan has been purchased for the License.
- If you have purchased from a ProductCart Reseller, please contact them to discuss your next step as you are typically not receiving support & updates from Early Impact.
We are changing things at this particular moment in time for a good reason. Under the new plan, software upgrades - including the upcoming v4 Upgrade - will be free.
