ProductCart Build To Order can be used effectively as online quoting software. It includes a powerful and flexible product configurator that allows users to define what they are looking for based on options that you make available.

Since you can "turn off" the e-commerce portion of the system at any time, you can effectively use ProductCart BTO as quoting software for your Web site.

• "Turn off" the shopping cart. Product by product or on a storewide basis, you can "turn off" the "Add to Cart" functionality of ProductCart Build To Order, and turn it into a quoting system.
• Real time, online quoting. Customers will be able to select a product, choose from a number of available options, and see the total price change in real-time. They can then save the instant quote to print it and/or review it later. And they can do it at any time, from anywhere.
• Hide price and use as true "Request for quote" system . Product by product or on a storewide basis you can also hide the prices associated with your customizable products so that customers cannot get an instant quote, but request a quote from you. They will create a configuration, send it to you and you will then be able to reivew, edit it (if necessary) and follow up with a price.

No more faxing or taking notes over the phone. Your customers will be able to send you "requests for quote" electronically, at any time, with no room for errors.

• View Saved Products . Customers can log into their account and view product and/or service configurations that they previously saved. They can review and edit the configurations, and either contact you for a quote, or add the item to the shopping cart. You can define which products can be ordered online and which can only be quoted.
• View Finalized Quotes. When used in a "request for quote" scenario, you customers will submit the product or service configuration on which they need a quote. You will be able to review the quote, edit it if needed, set the prices, and finalize it. At that time, the customer will be notified, will be able to log in to review the quote, and even turn the quote into an order, if that feature is enabled.
• From quote to order. You can let customers turn a quote into an order with one click. As long as the e-commerce functionality is active in the store for the selected product or service, customers will be able to take a saved configuration and place an order for it.
