WarningAuthorize.Net Down

July 3, 2009. The Authorize.Net payment gateway has been unavailable today for a few hours (see info on this topic). If your store is using this payment gateway, to get around the problem you can temporarily remove it from your store and instead enable the Offline Credit Card payment option (see User Guide). We also recommend to always have an alterinative payment option available such as PayPal (Standard, Express Checkout, Website Payments Pro) or Google Checkout.

ProductCart v3.51

No issues to report for v3.51 + Patch (see Recent Updates below for more information about the 3.51 Patch).

PayPal Order Total Issue

This fix is for stores running v3.11 to v3.5. The issue has to do with a malicious user's ability to alter the order total. See the ReadMe file included in the ZIP file for details. If you run ProductCart v3.51 you don't need these files. If you run an earlier version, please update at least to v3.11 and then download the fix. Download the file

Updated SEO Files

We updated the SEO files (keyword-rich URLs) to remove a limitation ("nofollow" on page navigation in viewcategories.asp). Download the updated files. Download the updated SEO files

ProductCart v3.51 Update and Patch

On 01.25.09 we released the 3.51 Update through the Update Management System. On 02.27.09 we release a small patch for v3.51, which can be downloaded from the ProductCart WIKI:
  • Updating to v3.51
    You can update to v3.51 from either v3.5 or from v3.11. The latter is a consolidated update that allows you to jump all the way to the very latest version from a much older version.
  • v3.51 Patch
    The v3.51 Patch is a small maintenance update, with minimal overlap with add-on's and other file sets. you may or may not need it:
    • Are you updating to v3.51 today?
      Then you don't need the v3.51 Patch. Just read these instructions to update to version 3.51.
    • Did you recently install or update to version 3.51?
      If you installed ProductCart v3.51 or updated to ProductCart v3.51 after 02.27.09, you don't need the Patch. Check the file that you downloaded and look at the date that is part of the *.zip file name: if the file name includes "022709", then that file already includes the 3.51 Patch.
    • Did you install or update to version 3.51 before 02.27.09?
      Check the file that you downloaded and look at the date that is part of the *.zip file name: if the file name includes a date that is prior to "022709", then you should apply the 3.51 Patch. If you are in doubt, apply the 3.51. It's a small file set, with minimal overlap with add-on's and other files.
