ProductCart v3 Upgrade
Please read carefully!
ProductCart v3 is the biggest upgrade we have ever released for our shopping cart software. It includes dozens and dozens of new features. Virtually all files have been updated, improved, optimized for better performance, and rendered more secure (see an overview of what's new in v3).
Because it's such a big upgrade, you need to prepare for it and allocate the correct amount of time to the project. The upgrade process will likely take you a few hours.
Upgrade Guide 
Download this MUST READ document. This is going to be your point of reference throughout the upgrade process. No shortcut here. You must read this document to ensure a smooth upgrade to v3.
Back up, back up, back up...
If there is a problem, you should be able to restore the previous version of your store. So make sure to back up both the files and the database. More information is included in the Upgrade Guide.
Online Help
We have added Online Help to many areas of the Control Panel, which has been almost entirely redesigned. Whenever you see this little, yellow icon 
, click on it to have access to information on that particular feature. For instance, after upgrading you should spend some time reviewing the new store display settings page. The Online Help will provide details on those and other features.
Add-on's
If your store is using a ProductCart Add-on, please note the following:
- Apparel Add-on: you will need to separately purchase the Apparel Add-on v3 Upgrade. You will have to first upgrade to v3, then upgrade the Apparel Add-on. Make sure to perform the upgrades in this order.
- Gift Add-on: this Add-on has become an integral part of ProductCart. No further action is required after you have upgraded to v3.01, as the Gift Add-on files will be automatically upgraded.
- Conflict Management Add-on: we have prepared an upgrade for your Build To Order store that will contain files that upgrade the Conflict Management system as well. Purchase the BTO + CM upgrade now.
- QuickBooks Add-on: No upgrade is required.
